The Barbell Prescription includes a conditioning component. For some Athletes of Aging, this will mean a sport or physical discipline: "Lift weights and play your sport."

Get strong. Then USE your strength.
Practicing martial arts is effective self-defense...against time and unhealthy aging.
Yoga practice meets SOME exercise prescription criteria. If you like it and tolerate it--do it!

You can and should do Olympic Lifts, IF you meet these three criteria.
